Leaving BrokerSumo, without a leap of faith.
We are not going to tell you the switch is instant. It is a planned move with a comparison step in the middle, and you keep the old system running until the numbers agree. Here is exactly how it goes.
What moves
- Agents names, contact details, license numbers, start dates
- Plans flat-fee and split-with-cap structures, rebuilt in Avlira and checked against your recent closings
- Transactions and commission lines imported from a BrokerSumo CSV export, so history stays searchable
- Payee records names and entity types, so the 1099 year is not split across two systems (signed W-9s are re-collected through each agent's app)
What does not move automatically
- Card and payment setup. Avlira tracks dues and produces pay links; it does not move money between accounts. Until your card processor is connected, Avlira tracks dues and you collect the way you do today, so nothing is ever charged twice during the overlap.
- Any custom report you built in BrokerSumo. Send us a sample and we will say whether it exists in Avlira or can be reproduced from an export.
- Anything BrokerSumo does not export cleanly. We will find this in the first import and tell you before you commit, not after.
Side by side: the honest comparison
| BrokerSumo (CORE BackOffice) | Avlira | |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | A CRM company's back-office module | Built and run by a brokerage |
| Commission engine | Flat fee, split, cap | Flat fee, split with cap, pro-rated cap crossing, referrals, team leads, to the cent |
| Dues on pay day | Recurring card billing | Today screen: who hasn't paid, with one-tap follow-up and pre-written scripts; card charging runs through your processor |
| Agent-facing | Portal access | App on the home screen, code sign-in, plus their own AI |
| Onboarding | Recruit data entry | One invite link, W-9 upload, tracked checklist |
| Integrations | dotloop, QuickBooks and others | dotloop import, QuickBooks export, BrokerSumo CSV import |
| Your branding | Vendor branding | Your own branded instance and domain |
Only the Avlira column is a claim about our product. The BrokerSumo column reflects what we could verify publicly and should be re-checked against your own account before publication.
The four-week shape of it
Week 1 — import and model. Export from BrokerSumo, import into Avlira, rebuild plans, compare against last quarter's commission lines.
Week 2 — dotloop on. Connect dotloop, import closed loops, check that drafts arrive with the right price, dates and participants.
Week 3 — run both. Pay one round of commissions from Avlira and reconcile against BrokerSumo. Every difference gets explained, not ignored.
Week 4 — cut over. BrokerSumo becomes read-only history. Agent apps go live, onboarding links go out to anyone in the pipeline, and QuickBooks export keeps your bookkeeper in the loop.
What we ask of you
- Someone who knows your commission plans, for two calls.
- A BrokerSumo export, and one recent closing we can rebuild by hand together.
- A decision about the overlap: which system pays commissions during the transition. It should be one, not both.
